Another tax hike for tax payers

Old Forge school board approves tax hike.

Board say's 5% increase avoids teacher cut

backs. The board passed it's final budget of

11,440,978 by a 6-3 vote at the meeting

Wednesday night. Board members Mary

Grace Mailen,  Katherine  Stocki  and

Eugene Talerico voted no. The 2012-2013

budget includes a tax rate of 114,7434 mills.

In 2011-2012 residents paid 109, 3275 mills.
